Guatemala City North Mission

...let us labor diligently: for if we should cease to labor, we should be brought under condemnation for we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God. Moroni 9:6

Future Leadership of the Church

We had our Zone Leaders counsel on July 7th. Afterwards we had a Mexican Meal of Enchiladas plus the added joy of seeing Elder Nolan Hansen visit us with his parents. We also had Elder Miles and Elder Otuafi join us for a final meal to say good bye before departing the mission for health reasons. Hope you get better soon Elders!

All missionaries who fulfill an honorable mission have the capacity to grow and serve the Lord in the future, maybe in leadership positions. But remember Elders, some of the greatest members I know have never been Bishops or Stake Presidents, yet quietly stand firm upholding the standards of their covenants, building the kingdom day by day.

The Keystone of Our Religion

The cycle of missionary life continues with interviews and Zone conferences to help the missionaries keep a clear focus on their purpose here in Guatemala, to invite others to come unto Christ. Our Zone conference for the end of June and the beginning of July started in Coban combining the Polochic and Senahu Zone together in Coban. The theme for this conference was an emphasis of using the Book of Mormon as our most powerful resource in conversion.

The next stop was to Peten and a quick return to the Capital to prepare for Zone Counsel on Tuesday. (July 7th). Look for City zones to be posted next week.
