Guatemala City North Mission

...let us labor diligently: for if we should cease to labor, we should be brought under condemnation for we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God. Moroni 9:6

Video Conference with Area Presidents

Along with our training we have had the opportunity to speak directly with the Area Presidency for Central America via the marvels of technology...video cameras. We have also been able to be introduced to other mission presidents who will be serving in Central America. The cameras link us in Salt Lake City to those in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and we even had one couple linked from Phoenix, Arizona who joined our conversation.

Sister Torres! This is so funny! I'm April, from the Communications and Spanish classes that we had together Fall 07, remember? Well my parents just received a postcard in the mail about your farewell reception, and I was thinking, "Maria Torres is the name of my friend from those classes, and she is about to go on a mission to Guatemala, so this must be the same person... but how does she know my parents?" So I got on the blog, and your husband was the bishop of the Spanish ward in our stake! I remember him! That's so funny, we should have talked more and maybe we would have realized that! I'll have to tell my parents of the funny coincidence! Good luck with everything, I know you will do wonderful! Love, April
