We started out on Sunday Aug 3 and will finish with interviews on Tues Aug 19. We first traveled to Coban where we interviewed on Monday 52 missionaries which included the two Zones of Coban and Polochic. The Zone Conference was held the next day (Tues). It turns out that Coban was having "Feria" which included music in the plaza and fireworks each night. This also meant there were more people in the city than usual. There were also lots of venders selling cortes, huipiles and other items at good prices, which the missionaries took full advantage of.
We next went to Flores to have interviews and Zone Conference in San Benito. All Conferences consentrated on Chapter 8 of "Preach my Gospel" which dealt with effective use of Time which is the key to good missionary work.
We had to take a side trip to Salama to attend a District Conference. The Conference was wonderful. We especially notice that Salama had a great deal of children. The best part was that 90% of those enrolled are active and attending regularly. We notice that several little babies were brought to the conference by their mothers in white shirts and ties. A great sign that Salama will yield many missionaries to the Lord's work in the future.
Upon our return to Guatemala City we interviewed the missionaires in the City as well as had our Zone conferences with them.
