Guatemala City North Mission

...let us labor diligently: for if we should cease to labor, we should be brought under condemnation for we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God. Moroni 9:6

Words of Kindness

"When a man is borne down with trouble, when he is perplexed with care and difficulty, if he can meet a smile instead of an argument or a murmur---if he can meet with mildness, it will calm down his soul and soothe his feelings; when the mind is going to despair, it needs a solace of affection and kindness." ( Joseph Smith -History of the Church 4:606-607).

Thank you Dear Parents for your many words of Kindness and support. President and I will continue to try our very best to serve you, your children and our brethren here in Guatemala. It is clear that the blog is part of that effort, so it will continue to give you glimpses of our efforts here in this special part of God's vineyard.

If you ever have any worries or questions about any of the pictures, please contact us directly. We will endeavor to answer any concerns.

Pres and Sister Torres:

We could not be more thrilled that you will continue to share your wonderful thoughts and insights on the Guatemala City North Mission! We feel like your blog is a window into the life of our missionary son and we so appreciate that! We know that he and all the missionaries are being watched out for by you both and that means so, so much to us as parents.

Please know how very much we appreciate your service, love and sacrifice for all our missionaries and the lovely people of Guatemala!

We are so thrilled to continue to follow your blog!

Thanks again,
Scott and Susan Turek

Hermana Torres,

Thank you so much! I cannot tell you how happy I am that you will continue to post to this blog. I know I will enjoy it for the next three months while my son is still serving. I am sure he will love seeing what is still going on in the mission after he returns.

Bless you for your efforts in caring for our sons and daughters. It makes it easier to "let go" for a couple of years knowing that they have a loving "mother" watching over them.

You may never know how much your care and concern for my son means to me.

President and Sister Torres,

Thank You! You have our family's heartfelt gratitude for ALL you do for the missionaries serving under your care. Thank you for continuing your blog. It is such a beautiful record of the Guatemala City North Mission.
I'm surprised you didn't hear the shouts of joy that rose up from parents when you posted that you would continue with your blog!!

You may not have heard those shouts, but I do hope you felt the love that we all feel for you. You have our complete support in all you do as you fulfill the sacred calling you have. I am totally confident that our son is in good hands.

Muchas Gracias!

We appreciate your love and dedication to all the missionaries and to furthering the Lord's work in all that you do. Your blog is an instrument of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. We love you both so much and pray for your continued safety, health, and inspiration as you lead an army of God's most valiant children.

It brings such peace to our hearts to be able to share in what you do. It has been very uplifting to be able to see what is going on in the whole mission.
